Guests to the project are editors but unable to assign tasks

None of my guests to the project are able to assign tasks to other guests despite being editors.
Is this expected behaviour?

I noticed you already posted in this thread which is seen as a bug and has been escalated, might that be the problem here?

Previously, guest editors could assign tasks but i’ve received feedback the past couple of days that they’re no longer able to.

They may be related.

You’ll need to find out and share here exactly what your colleagues mean by “no longer able to.” Screenshots would help and very explicit “When I try to do xxx, yyy happens” or “the other guest’s name doesn’t autocomplete in the assignee field” or “I can’t click the assignee field at all,” etc. It’s not yet clear what the problem is, though it could be the known problem; ask your colleagues and describe that problem to see if it’s the same thing.

Thanks Larry.

They just can’t assign anyone. When they click on Assignee, the drop down to select a person doesn’t appear. When they type a name, the user doesn’t come up as well.

If they can otherwise edit other parts of the task, and especially if they can assign to a Member (someone with email domain matching your Org’s domain; not a Guest), then I’d say it’s the same problem.

But if it’s not clearly so, you may want to:
