This question probably makes me sound like a complete newbie but I couldn’t find an answer anywhere in Asana or the forums or on the internet.
- I’m here: Goals › Team goals
- I’ve filtered to include 2 teams in my goal view.
- Next one team header – let’s call it “Team A” – there’s a plus icon. (
)
- Next the other team header – “Team B” – there’s a padlock icon. (
)
I know the plus icon means: I can create a goal for Team A.
I also know the padlock icon means: I can’t create a goal for Team B.
But where does that setting originate?
I checked the team settings for possible reasons why it might appear:
- Am I a member of one team but not of the other? – Nope, I’m not a member of either one.
- Is one team joinable by request while the other is open for everyone to join? – Nope, both are joinable by request.
- Is one team set to only team admins can create and share work with the team? – Nope, both are set to everyone in the organisation can.
Can anyone please tell me why I can create a goal for one of those teams but not for the other, and which setting determines whether I can or not?
Thanks in advance!
P.S.: In case it may be relevant, I’m also a superadmin.
