We use asana almost exclusively on the app. The projects we use are do not need ‘Fields’ shown in the view. (it blocks most of the task title)
When I Manage the view and hide all the fields, it displays great, however when I click on a task it will not load. Instead, it instantly displays ‘Trouble Connecting’ and a blank grey screen.
This is the case on both our tablet (samsung s7) and our phones. (S21) Both devices and asana are updated to the latest versions.
Is there a workaround to this issue so I can hide fields without crashing the whole project so that I cannot click on any tasks?
Thank you, however, this is an issue on our mobile apps not the browser so these troubleshooting steps do not apply to my problem. I contacted support last Friday. Still waiting to hear back.
This is not just an issue with one account or device. It is having this issue on all 4 of our mobile devices on two separate accounts.
To duplicate the issue, do the following on the android mobile app:
Open a project under ‘list view’
Tap ‘manage view’
Tap ‘manage fields’
Toggle ‘Show fields’ to off to hide all fields
Try to click on any task in the project to see if it loads.
For us it just shows a blank screen that says trouble connecting.
To get the project tasks to work again, we have to show 1 or more fields. (which hides most of the task title in the app)
It can take a few days sometimes, but Support is the right place for this issue.
There are a couple of troubleshooting steps that apply to mobile, and also Support likely will ask you if you’ve done these, so it can expedite your request.
You can report to them that your issue appears to be widespread, and be sure to include the reproduction steps which were in your second post here. You can tell support that I experience the same thing on Android Asana 8.55.0 and I did the recommmended connectivity test and it was successful.
