Based on reports from various users for many accessing Asana from China works really well, some use a VPN to overcome problems. I recommend to check out this thread: China access - Asana blocked?
The nice thing is that since earlier this year users can also switch the language to Chinese: Asana Now Available in Traditional Chinese, Russian, Dutch, and Polish - The Asana Blog
