Weekly Time Tracking

Does anyone have a good methodology for process for tracking actual time on a weekly basis for many different team members? We track time within a single task in a ‘time tracking section’ vs individual task tracking. I’m looking for a way to remind team members to enter time and an easy view to see who has not entered time for a given week.

I tried to use weekly recurring tasks but it seems to zero out the time week over week. Any ideas?

@Bill_Manley - for reminders, you could use a recurring task.

Tor seeing who hasn’t entered time, you can use a reporting chart, with settings for

  • X-Axis as Assignee
  • Y-Axis as Time Entry > Actual Time
  • With a filter for Date > Time Entered Date > Within the last > 1 Weeks
Not a perfect solution, but it’ll get you close.

It’ll be configured like this:

Alternatively, you could use a third-party tool like Everhour. It is a fantastic time management tool, integrates well with Asana, and has a great timesheet view.
