Ditto. Recurring tasks need to be visible on the calendar and list indefinitely into the future or be given a specified end date. This is a functionality that every other calendar, productivity, task list, project management… app can do.

No visible recurring tasks on my calendar makes it difficult for someone visual like me. It appears I have all these free days but really I have tasks on those days I don’t even know about until they show up. 
What’s the workaround? List view doesn’t seem to show any “upcoming” or “later” tasks either. I can’t figure out why list view is so confusing to me, maybe just not enough shapes and symbols? Just words. Makes me wonder if you should do user testing with very visual people.
+! for recurring tasks being visible on the calendar. Anyone looking at my calendar will think I have the entire month off.

This lack of calendar visibility is insane. I just spent hours setting up in Asana and this renders it useless. I need to make notes specific to future tasks ON those future tasks but I can’t because Asana has decided they aren’t important until the prior task is complete. I also need to be able to reassign future tasks to others based on schedules. This is aggravating and now I’m back to the drawing board after wasting a lot of time on this platform. Not being able to see my future calendar is nothing short of a massive oversight. Set it so that all future tasks are visible and create a ’ i only want to see x number of future tasks" field for folks who don’t want their task list to be cluttered. There. I won’t even charge you for the consult.

Here to add to the years of requests and inquiries. This feature would make things significantly smoother and I’m not sure why reoccurring tasks haven’t been made visible in calendar view. I’m going to consider other task managers in the meantime and see what can be done for my current teams who are using Asana.

Adding my voice to the many others here. How is this not a feature yet? It seems such a simple thing. We simply want to see future recurring events on our calendar. I’ve just spent almost an hour trying to make this happen before finally searching for a solution and finding out through this forum that it’s apparently “on the radar” for Asana but not happening almost 3 years after the first request.
This is frustrating.

Currently, the Calendar will only display the next occurrence of a recurring task. This therefore means we cannot use asana calendar for planning into the future which is extremely annoying. If a project management tool is supposed to be used for managing team and tasks (it is implied that these tasks are to happen in the future), why can it not be used to manage future re-occurring tasks?

It would be nice if when you were looking at the calendar it would show all iterations of a repeating (recurring) task. It is hard to judge you work load for next week or two if tasks do not populate until the current occurrence is completed.

Any ideas on how to make this work? Could we import repeating tasks from Google Calendar to Asana, since Asana doesn’t bring the solution? Or duplicating tasks with Zapier?

Not being able to see recurring tasks in the calendar ahead of time makes it impossible to plan your time. This needs to be fixed asap. 3 YEARS of threads on this. How can this not have occurred by now?

Loyal Asana fan here. There seems to be a new version ready for me every time I log in these days. I know y’all are working hard and that you hear us. So please push for this feature already -we really need it.

I vote for this option, I have had to go to other platforms because if they had this feature although to use it if you have to have a premium plan but it is accessible, such as Clickup, if the asana team decides to implement this option even if it is of payment I would be willing to pay a pro plan, regards
