View List Subtasks and column catgories fields in Android APP or mobile device

Hi all,
I am implementing Asana for new users in this team who need to view the List of tasks of a project with their fields and their subtasks just as shown in hte desktop web view for computers.
I understand this view is still not available so I would like if someone may help on this two questions order by priority

  1. Which mobile device should I acquire for the team members needing this view so they may update their tasks and view the list?
  2. Is there any date planned by Asana team to solve this problem or create simply in the APP a desktop view??
    Thanks for your help!
    David

Hi @David_Senar , welcome to the forum

  1. I don’t think it’s a matter of mobile device. The app looks the same on all Android or iOS devices. You could try opening Asana in a browser on a tablet but performance on touch screens is a bit clunky, in my experience.
  2. Asana doesn’t make their roadmap public but if this is ever launched, we will be informed in the Product Launches category.

The problem is that we would like to see the List Tab of a project with all categories and the black arrow so we may see subtasks on the same list.
Unluckily, in every tablet, when we go to the browser, Asana detects is a tablet and asks always to open the APP not being able to continue in Browser mode.

Hi Richard,
As explained in the Tablet, it does not allow open the web since on the Chrome or web browser when it detects the tablet, automatically Asana website asks to switch to the APP version.

It would be a good feature to be able to see on the app the web version so it would help.

Anyhow, since I believe this development or fix could take time, I would like if you could give me confirmation on the List View with Subtasks and Categories on a Windows Tablet 10’’ or 12’’ such as a Xiaomi or some other.

I apreciate your answer

Hi @David_Senar, you can actually open the Asana browser version on a tablet (or phone) by simply setting the browser to show the Desktop version instead. On Chrome for example, you tap on the ... menu in the top right and check the box ‘Desktop site’.

Asana might perform slower on a low-end tablet so make sure to get one with a fast processor and good amount of memory. I’m not a tablet expert and not familiar with the tablets you mention, sorry.

Hi Richard,
Actually it would be intesting to review since from a device, if the user is registered, it is not possible to access the view web, since it only allows to go in the APP.
And in the APP there is no web visor.
Only if you are not registered and go on incognito mode, then it is possible to access. Wouldn’t it be good to have a web mode available without so many tricks…

Hi @David_Senar , it sounds like you are not seeing what I’m describing. It’s not a trick, this is just basic browser functionality allowing users to switch between the mobile version or desktop version of any website. And since Asana is web-based, this also works for Asana, bypassing the opening of the mobile app.

If you want, you can create a new Product Feedback request, or check to see if there is perhaps an existing/similar one already posted.

Thanks!!
finally I saw the option!

Ah that’s great!
