I work for a large company, with many different teams using Asana. When I use the global search, 99% of the results are irrelevant because they belong to other teams. So I would like a user preference to limit searches to items owned by my team by default. I can achieve this now by using the advanced search filters, but it requires too many clicks for an operation I do dozens of times per day.
Until/if that becomes available, this hack might help:
One time only: Do an advanced search filling in the teams with your own team(s) only, then save that search which will force you name it (“Search in my teams”) and place it in your sidebar “Starred” group.
Each time you need to search: Click that to preload it and add your search criteria and search (no need to save).
