We would like to see if there was any way to run or create a report for Asana usage in our instance. We would like to see how many of our staff members use Asana, and, if possible, to get a list of individuals that use Asana the most based on task completion/creation.

You can set up that kind of reports by using the “reporting” feature on the top left corner.
You can customize graphics to show completed tasks by users, overdue tasks, …
Have you tried “reporting”?
If you are an admin, you can go to the Admin Console and select Members. It will show your organization’s members and the last time they were active in Asana.
Does Active mean logon or the person actually performed some sort of action?
