Unable to edit subgoal weights even when settings are on automatic

Hello all. I’ve tried several times but have been unable to customize subgoal weights, even though settings are on automatic. Is this an Asana bug or is there another setting that needs to be modified.

Also, is there any way that Asana can make this process more intuitive?

@JLL - could you share a screenshot of the goals view that shows the weights button?

Just checking… you have more than 2 work items connected to the goal, right?
If not, you’ll get a warning asking you to add at least 2 items (sub-goals, projects, etc. - whatever you have set in the goal progress settings).

Hi @JLL , it could well be that you are on a legacy Asana plan (Business or legacy Enterprise). Check with your Asana Admin, or if you are the Asana Admin, check the Billing tab in the Admin Console to check/change your plan to the current plans: Advanced or the new Enterprise or Enterprise+ plans.

The Goals weights feature, along with various other AI features are exclusive to the (new) current Asana plans.

It would be great if Asana added a pop-up to explain this, instead of simply leaving it greyed out with customers wondering what to do. Pinging the @Forum-team to send this feedback to the Asana product team. Thanks!

Hi Bryan, I have enterprise plan but still can’t change weight from equal to custom.
WhenI select weight it is greyed out and does not show any option to change/edit the field.

Hi @Ivan_Khrapach , as I explain above, you need to be on the new/current Enterprise plans (you are likely on the Enterprise legacy plan).

Best to contact Asana Sales to upgrade you to Enterprise (New) which has more features (such as Portfolio Rules) and is less expensive.

Note also this good tip by @lpb.
