Tips for Blocked tasks in my tasks

We have a very large project with a task for each of our locations and the same subtasks under each of those (e.g., Update Site A Webpage with subtask of Review Recommended Changes). Some of those subtasks are dependent on other subtasks being completed and these specific subtask are always assigned to the same person.

For example, the person with " Review Recommended Changes" assigned to them now has 50+ of those subtasks and they are all currently blocked. It makes using their My Tasks very difficult. I’ve helped them set up the workaround rule outlined here: 🙈 Hide blocked tasks from your My Tasks

The issue is a lot of those blocked subtasks were already in their My Tasks prior to the rule’s creation. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to quickly get those existing blocked tasks moved to the “Blocked” column in My Tasks?

The only way I can think of is to batch select them and use the section mover up/down arrows to move the whole batch at once.

So, look for the hourglass icon at the left of tasks and click the first, then shift-click the last and move them. Repeat for remaining selections. (Or use the Ctrl/Cmd key with click to toggle selections, for example to select a large group and remove a few within.)

Thanks,

Larry
