This task is visible to its collaborators -> but not only

Hi,

One of my task has that ribbon at the top.

That got me confused: does that mean only the collaborators on the task see it, and not the project members? Well turns out the project members see it too… So what’s with that message then? What does that mean exactly? And what does “Make public” do?

Thanks!

I think (I didn’t check) it means the task is visible not just to project members but to collaborators, at least one of whom is not a project member.

So it would be more accurate to say “This task is also visible to its collaborators.” Or something like that.

Making it public would make it accessible by all Org members (Task Permissions in Asana | Product guide • Asana Product Guide).

Right?

Larry

I still believe the text is confusing and should be fixed… @Marie I’ll let you be the judge of that.
