How I'm rethinking my Asana strategy in a Teamless reality

Like many others, I started using Asana in a pre-Portfolio era where Teams were a key factor in my set-up and project set-up strategy. While it wasn’t perfect, it’s how I cut my teeth with the tool. I was honestly late to the Portfolio game because it took me awhile to find a use-case that wasn’t solved by Teams. I know I’m coming off as a Team stan here, but honestly when the new Team Overview Page launched it was such a bright spot for me that I tell everyone I know to use this feature. But n…

That being said,
The portfolio feature requires an advanced plan, so I’d like to see some kind of solution for that.
As an idea, how about the following? (None of these are fundamental solutions, though)

• Put shortcuts to each project in a shared folder on the file server
• Add each project to your browser’s bookmarks

Alternatively, how about this?
Work>>Project>>Browse projects

I thought I could use reference custom fields, but it seems that requires an advanced plan as well.

As an alternative method, personally, I use the multi-home function.

• Create special tasks within individual projects.

  • Project 1: Task11,Task12,TaskP1
  • Project 2: Task21,Task22,TaskP2

• Create a project for the team.

  • Team A Project

• Gather tasks from each project into the team project using the multi-home function.

  • Team A Project
    • TaskP1
    • TaskP2
