I realize this is the Team Onboarding forum, but hopefully someone will have some guidance for our team.
I work in a team that’s currently using the free tier of Asana. We recently had a team member decide to transfer to a different department within our organization. That new dept does not use Asana, but we don’t want to simply delete all her tasks.
What would be the best way to keep her currently assigned tasks that relate to our dept and perhaps reassign them to us … and remove her from the team while leaving her in Asana to potentially continue using it on a semi-personal basis?
I know there is a way to offboard someone and have all their “previously assigned tasks” in a project, but I would doubt that option is available for the free tier. Also, this would remove her account.
I was thinking about using advanced search, but that is not available for the free tier.
Best I can come up with is sit down with her, and walk through her My Tasks
I’d second what @Jan-Rienk said. Alternatively, you could assign her a task that details it out and the simplest way would be to re-assign all her tasks to someone else:
Select all your tasks in My Tasks
Assign all tasks to [someone on team to disperse tasks appropriately]
