Tasks only appearing after other tasks are moved

All of a sudden, if I move a task until tomorrow, new tasks show up that were hidden. This has to be fixed

Hi @Lou_Buono_Jr, thanks for reaching out! Could you confirm if you are experiencing this issue on your My Tasks or in a Project? Also is it when you access a specific view (List, Board, Calendar)? This will help us reproduce this issue.

Thank you!

Hi Emily. This is in calendar view when I’m looking at my tasks. I have refreshed the page multiple times but it doesn’t help. I have been starting my morning by dragging and dropping tasks onto the next day and back just so my hidden tasks show up.

I’m still waiting for a response. This is unacceptable. I just started a new thread on the topic. For better explanation, I’ll repeat it here.

I have an urgent request regarding a recurring issue with the calendar view, which has been affecting my workflow since last week. Here’s a specific example: I may wake up with only 10 tasks displayed for the day, giving the impression of a manageable workload. However, as soon as I shift a couple of tasks to the following day, new, previously hidden tasks suddenly appear for the current day.

Just today, I moved tasks from tomorrow to today, only to see at least 10 additional hidden tasks show up on tomorrow’s calendar. When I moved everything back, I was left with more work than I could handle, having already scheduled appointments based on what I thought was an accurate calendar view.

This issue is critical and cannot continue. Last week, after rescheduling tasks, I missed important work due to hidden tasks that I could not see until after 5PM. I had previously raised this concern and was not provided with any assistance.

Please prioritize a solution for this issue immediately. A task calendar that hides tasks renders Asana ineffective for any task management purpose. I need confirmation that this will be treated as a high-priority fix. Without an immediate response and resolution, I will have to seek another platform.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Hi @Lou_Buono_Jr, apologies for the delay.

I’ve seen similar cases, where performance issues were linked to a very high number of tasks assigned to the user, which can occasionally affect views like the calendar and timeline. Although there isn’t a strict limit on task numbers, very high usage can impact the app’s performance. One of our Forum Leaders shared an article here with general insights on task limits, which might provide more context (though not specific to the calendar view).

Since we don’t have access to account-specific information or the tools needed to troubleshoot technical issues in detail here on the Forum, we advise you to reach out to our Support team. They can access the necessary information to investigate and assist you further.

Thank you for understanding.

I appreciate your response
