Is there a way that I can put tasks and updates in one project dashboard but then it automatically appears in other projects as well, as in, a way to link the dashboards together?

You can multi-home your tasks in up to 20 projects. By doing so, you will see the task in every project that it is associated with. You will need to manually add your existing tasks to the projects. However, for future tasks you can create a template task, add it to all projects and duplicate it when needed. This will automatically add the tasks to all projects.
