I work for a restoration service company and have our projects divided into four phases. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to automate due dates based on the completion of the previous phase.
For example when I complete the packing phase I want that to trigger due dates for cleaning and communications. let me know if you have found a way to do this or a work around.
Thanks
Hey there,
So I believe to achieve this, you’ll want to use the “Do this - Set due date” action to use a relative date. This will set the due date to a custom relative date duration of your choosing and you can have it fire on the trigger date of the rule (the date of when your task moves to the packing phase).
Hi, @1212505531056088
Just to confirm:
Please provide more details about your request.
Is the task flow “Packing >> Cleaning >> Communication”?
If so, how do you plan the schedule?
5 days from completion of Packing to completion of Cleaning
3 days from completion of cleaning to Communication
As one possible approach, would the following be acceptable?
Once Packing task is completed, create Cleaning task and set Due date to 5 days later.
Once Cleaning task is completed, create Communication task and set Due date to 3 days later.
