This is new. Up until today (presumably, issue was noticed today) I have been able to edit task templates via the customise sidebar. I am an admin for our organisation and we’re current on our payment for our Asana Premium plan. I’ve tried logging in via the desktop app (windows 11) and via the browser, neither shows the task template option. It also isn’t hiding under the Add drop down or in project settings.
Of note, as I saw it asked elsewhere when this issue came up for someone else: I can still create/edit fields.
Anyone know what might be causing it or how to fix it?
Hi @Monica10 , I have a feeling this may be a bug related to Custom task types becoming global and separated to Task templates, which is being rolled out as of today. I could be wrong but this appears to be a bug.
Nope, definitely in a project - I tested across several projects both in the desktop app and the web browser before posting. Good shout though, entirely possible!
Hi everyone and thanks for reporting this issue! Our support team has also received more reports and we have escalated this to our product team so we can find a solution soon. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more information.
Did you fix this because we are having the same issue. Where did all the templates go? Why has it just disappeared? I had ‘starred’ all my templates, as well - and they no longer appear under the starred either.
It was fixed by Asana. If you co into the project and then Customize menu → Task types and templates → Task you can see all your task templates to edit them.
With the latest update this menu has changed so they’re in a slightly different place now than they had been previously. Hope this helps!
