Task Start and End Date Issues

How can I set a task - with a start date and end date - so it appears in the assignee’s task list starting on the start date, not only on the final due date?

Right now, when I assign a task from January 5–26, the task only shows up on January 26, even though work should begin on January 5.

Is there a workaround? Does this feature not work as it seems it should? Any insight would be appreciated!

Can you explain what you mean by “shows up?” My Tasks can be set up in many different ways, so it’s not clear how it is set up in this case and falling short.

You can have a My Tasks tab sorted by Start date that certainly will address this.

Group by Start date should treat an empty Start date = Due date

[image] results in grouping all tasks with a Due date and no Start date in the No date group. These tasks do have a date; a Due date. Asana should instead treat tasks with only a Due date to group as if they had a matching Start date. Thanks, Larry

Hi, basically it can’t be done. The best workaround I’ve come up with is to track My Tasks in the calendar view.
