Voted! Regardless whether it’s classified one way or another, the root cause is that implementing minimal options may be a slight UI simplicity improvement but more importantly is a complete dead end for your workflow when you need it.
Like coding defensively, it’s good to design defensively.
Hey @Bastien_Siebman , sorry, yes! I actually didn’t have to flag it as it’s already been reported by someone else. It’s a part of a bigger bug which is being investigated. We are hoping to see some solution by the end of April.
Hi @Bastien_Siebman, I just got an update from our product team, and what you’re experiencing is actually how the feature is currently designed to work.
Because unassigned tasks automatically live in a project’s default “Untitled Section,” a rule set to trigger on “any section” views placing a task there as a move. However, if you want to tighten this up, you can configure the rule’s trigger to look for a specific section instead. That way, it will only fire for deliberate moves into that exact spot.
That being said, we totally get how this behavior can be confusing. I’ve shared your experience directly with our product team as feedback so we can look into making this more intuitive in future updates.
