Syncing Overall Asana Calendar with Google Calendar

I would like to know if I can sync the Overall Calendar for a team with my Google Calendar. Also, will you work on the ability to do 2 way sync of Asana calendars with Google Calendars.

Asana has a built-in Google Calendar integration, allowing you to sync your Team calendar with your Google Calendar. Have a look at this article to learn how to set it up.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer yet a 2 way sync calendar, but I would recommend adding your vote to this thread!

This is just syncing individual Tasks, not entire teams. Unless I’m missing something. I too would like to sync an entire TEAM calendar to GOOGLE.

Hi @Patrick8;

I would recommend syncing your Asana Team calendar, this way you will see all tasks assigned to your Team in the Google calendar.

The Team calendar can be found following these steps:

  1. Click on your Team’s name in your left sidebar
  2. At the top of your page, click on the Calendar Tab (see screenshot below)

where do you see an option to sync a team? i only see the option to sync a task…

Marie, can you confirm TEAM calendar syncing? I cannot see that anywhere.

Hi @Patrick8; you’re completely right, it’s not possible to sync a team calendar with your Google Calendar, my apologies for the mistake here. As it stands, there is no easy workaround to achieve this in Asana, but I would suggest two things:

  • This is a popular request that the Community Forum has been actively advocating for in Real time, two ways Calendar integration; if you haven’t yet, I would suggest to add your vote to this thread. I have recently wrote a voice of customer report and this feature was included to be considered by our Product Team; I don’t have any updates just yet but will malke sure to update the main post as soon as I do.
  • In the meantime, I would also recommend to take a look at third party tools like Tray.io IFTTT or at Project Buddy developed by @Maggie_Reddi
