Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
When using the reporting feature, I am trying to create a count of how many tasks are active in a section of a project. The tasks added to the project are technically Subtasks of a larger task but are added as tasks to the project I am working on. In the report, I can only see them when I include subtasks, but then it also includes the subtasks of the task I am trying to target so I am either getting a count of 0 or 7 (there are 6 subtasks of the added task) when I am expecting 1 .

Steps to reproduce:
Add a subtask to a project, filter to Not Subtask

Browser version:
Chrome Version 114.0.5735.90 (Official Build) (x86_64)

What version of Asana are you using (Basic/Premium/Business/Enterprise)?
Premium

Hi @Stephanie_Prahser, thanks for reporting this! I’m afraid, it’s currently not possible to filter subtasks added to the project as tasks. If you filter your chart and select not to show subtasks, these won’t appear in your chart, even if they look like tasks in your project.

Since this is currently working as expected, I’m moving this thread to the Product Feedback category and we will share updates with you if this is something we change in the future. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
