Problem:
I click on any Asana link in Slack and it opens in a new browser tab, instead of the desktop app. (yeah, it’s still a thing.)
System & app versions:
Windows 11; Slack 4.51.191; Asana desktop app 2.8.1
What I’ve already done:
- already uninstalled and reinstalled Asana desktop app.
- Went to the online settings page and set it to “open all links in desktop app.” It worked for 2 days. Then it stopped working and the setting disappeared again.
- I am logged in to Asana both in the browser and in the desktop app.
What I don’t want to do:
- I really do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall Asana every two days.
- I would also like to not have to be posting this! I have looked through Asana’s help files and this very community forum and find MANY iterations of this same question from 2021, 2022, 2023 etc. etc. I am here to say it is still a problem and the available Help files are not clear or complete – do not provide a reliable, easy to understand answer.
