Is there a way to update a project status in portfolio view without sending an update to team members?
If you’re talking about updating a project status (rather than a portfolio status), then regardless of whether you do that from portfolio view or from the project itself, you can change the project members’ notification settings to turn off the notification for statuses:
But I think it would be polite to return those to their prior values for the future.
If you’re instead talking about a portfolio-level status, that doesn’t have the same notifications settings, so the answer there would be that you can’t sent a portfolio status notification without notifying members.
