Staff Holiday calendar

Hello there. We are a dental practice and we would like to use asana in order to organise and streamline our staff holiday bookings. We like that all staff can view a calendar and use it as a reference for when they would be able to take holidays off themselves. One issue we’ve found is that we cannot find a balance between ebing able to add holidays on without being able to access and delete others’ events on the same calendar. We worry that if someone wants a specific date off they could just delete someone elses’ holiday to take for themselves. Is there any way of being able to add things but not be able to delete? Or if you can have full control of your own events that you add but not those added by others?

In this case, I recommend you creating a Public project and set it as comment only. You need to make sure only the person that should have access to edit tasks is added as Member.

Also in order to make sure that anyone is able to edit the dates, you could select one person to be in charge of adding new approved holiday requests to the project and assign them to the person who will be OOO.

By doing so, everyone will be able to see the calendar but they won’t be able to edit the tasks.
