"something went wrong" error when submitting forms

As the bug category was changed to “Critical Bugs”, I’m using this category for reporting a potential bug.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Fill in and submit a form
  2. The following error is displayed.

Uh oh! Looks like something went wrong.

Please try checking back again in a few moments.

Frequency: about 5% of the time
This happens to my colleague too.

Troubleshooting

If this happens, I can’t use the same browser tab anymore to submit the form, even after pressing “Back to form”.
I can submit the same form by opening it in another tab and copy-pasting the contents to the new form.
