Some custom field names aren't available in Advanced Search

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create new project with a free text OR drop-down Custom Field
  2. Wait a few minutes (Asana latency, IME)
  3. Run an Advanced Search and attempt to add the Custom Field created in Step 1
  4. Realize that the Custom Field is not provided as an option for you to select

Browser version:
Chrome Version 94.0.4606.61 (Official Build) (64-bit)

The Favorite Insect field is NOT offered as an option…although it should be.

It might be that the field was not added to the library (first checkbox when creating). In that case, this is not a bug but intentional behavior (for now).

Could you please confirm, as mentioned by @Bastien_Siebman, if this field was added to the Org library? :slight_smile:

No, this is not a Global Field. I didn’t realize the limitation and also didn’t find it anywhere in the help docs. Thanks for letting me know.
