In this post, I’ll show you how smarter forms can make your Asana workflows more natural, more insightful, and just as structured — without the limits of rigid formats.
Smarter Forms?
I believe smarter forms should use AI-powered workflows to process, interpret, and respond to open answers directly.
With AI Studio associated with Asana forms you can easily:
- Score open answers based on relevance or accuracy
- Detect sentiment or tone
- Classify input automatically (e.g., bug, idea, feedback)
- Trigger follow-up actions or assign tasks based on content
- Offer instant feedback or guidance
This opens the door to more natural, user-friendly forms—without losing structure or control.

This is an example of an open question powered by AI to analyze and grade the question:
“In a sentence, explain the Asana AI feature ‘Smart goals’.”
Instead of reviewing answers manually, the AI workflow:
- Reads the response
- Compares it to a reference
- Assigns a score (0 to 3)
- Posts a comment with feedback
