Slack notifications when any project in a portfolio is completed

We have a few cross-functional teams that track a specific type of customer project in a single portfolio. I am looking to set up Slack notifications when any project in that specific portfolio is marked as completed.

I have attempted to set up a rule for this at the portfolio level in Asana, but it does not seem to be an option. I have confirmed Asana is linked to Slack and to the proper channel I am hoping to send the notifications to.

It is not a solution to set this rule at the project level as this portfolio is used to track hundreds of similar projects throughout the year.

I am also running into issues trying to build the notification workflow via Slack because the /asana command does not seem to actually be working when I attempt to use it.

Any ideas?

External actions, such as Slack notifications, are not currently available in Portfolio rules. You can upvote this idea here to increase visibility of the need for it.

In terms of setting up such a rule on a project level, perhaps adding it to a Bundle and then adding that bundle to a portfolio and/or project templates (if used), could be helpful here.

In terms of the commands not working, I would suggest restarting the app to try to remedy it, or if used in a browser, follow the typical troubleshooting of clearing browsing data/cookies, etc.
