Show Projects as Archived on iOS

This is so basic and has persisted over the years despite several messages to Support. In mobile, Archived projects are shown as Active and users often add tasks to Archived projects by error. Desktop Asana clear indicates Archived status. Seems a very quick and absolutely essential fix! See screenshots.

Hello @Malik_F_MD_RC

Welcome back to the forum.
I have made a slight edit to the title of your post and changed it from tips and tricks to product feedback.
Currently, the way the projects appear in the search on iOS is the correct behaviour. It is not a bug.
You can add your vote to this and hopefully it gets traction for a fix in future developments by Asana.

thanks Rashad. I am mystified that showing archived projects identically to active is deliberate! we will start adding the word “archived” to project name when archiving.

Thanks for better categorising my post.

best wishes, Malik

Is anyone able to explain the logic on this? If they will always show, why even archive projects in the first place? It’s encouraging users to find workarounds to get incredibly basic functionality they’re used to seeing in other versions of the same product. If the browser version and app versions differ so much in functionality, what am I supposed to tell new users? Right now I’m telling them to stay away from the app because it does not work, which leads to distrust of the platform as a whole.
