Our AV team has two templates, one for Radio campaigns, one for TV campaigns.
We’ve created a custom library field AV Type to indicate which is which, as projects from both templates end up in the same portfolio, and it’s handy that we can group by the AV Type field.
As we cannot:
- Check which template was used in portfolio rules,
- nor add Script actions in portfolio rules to check if the name contains Radio or TV,
- nor use AI in portfolio rules,
we seem to be forced to the following workaround to automate categorisation:
- Create separate portfolios for Radio and TV
- Set the portfolio for each template in template settings (Projects from TV template to TV portfolio, and Radio to Radio portfolio)
- Add AV team as editor to both staging portfolios to ensure projects from template gets actually added
- Add AV Type field to both portfolios
- Create rules in each portfolio, setting AV Type for each, and moving the project to the general AV portfolio.
I’d say this is quite convoluted, and it would be a lot easier if we could set custom field values of the project in the template.
