Search option for custom people field is empty

With advanced search, I can only choose between:

  • Contains any (of these)
  • Contains all (of these)
  • Doesn’t contain any (of these)

I’d like the option to choose:

  • With no values (as with other custom field search options)

Usecase:
Task with Can you fill in the client lead for "search link to tasks within: {client list project}

The workaround is to create an extra tab, but I’d rather keep the project clean.
