I am trying to create a rule for a new section (called ‘Links checks’) in a project so that a task in the new section will move to another section (called ‘In progress’) when it nears it’s due date by selecting the trigger ‘Start date is approaching’. I have this rule in place for other sections created about a year ago, but when I go to select the trigger ‘Start date is approaching’ there is just an i icon that tells me that trigger is only for task. But there’s no option when creating a task to create a rule.
Is that a recent change, to not allow section rules to include ‘Start date is approaching’ as a trigger?
Am I missing something?

To enable that trigger, you’ll need to use the Settings gear menu, then toggle off Runs on subtasks, like this:
