Rules are now Automations: meet the new automation builder 🤝

Not sure what User feedback you used to guide this new change, but it has way too many flaws. And costumer service has been lackluster in replying to concerns as opposed to before. Going on a week without hearing from anyone after sending two emails. Asana was perfectly fine before this unecessary change.

That’s what led me to this forum page in the first place. I’m finding everything extremely unintuitive. I’ve just spent the last 45 min trying to get Google to explain how to build a flow that previously would have taken about 2 minutes to build

I’ve been waiting for years for a functionality that lets you build rules for subtasks. I’m shaking my head a little bit here right now because I can’t believe this whole overhaul was done, and somehow that basic feature still hasn’t made the cut. :woman_facepalming:

Not that I’m arguing against Asana adding that functionality, but just to point out that it’s super easy to accomplish in a rule in our Flowsana integration:

Are these not usable within Project Templates? When I got to set up an automation in a project template, I’m still getting the old builder.

I am also not able to build a more advanced automation in a Bundle. I had to create sort of janky workarounds and a lot of copying to projects.

Multi-step actions are nice!
It guarantees action2 execution after action1. We could not do this before.

It would be great to be able to create some of the Task → Project automations in bundles!

When will you provide an option to revert to vertical scrolling/the old UI? The new UI is basically non-functional given the number of branches in the rules I utilize. I can’t have to scroll horizontally endlessly to find the right branch of a rule to edit. This is a massively negative experience for users, and the feedback should have made that exceedingly clear at this point. It’s been a month, when will we get progress on moving back to the existing, working system?
