I know this is a very old post, but I’m hoping this is still an option to sort comments. How do I use this?
I’ve been using ASANA for many years and don’t understand why this isn’t getting pushed up in priority. Changing the sort on the create date seems like a simple change. It’s a big pain point! Anyone at ASANA, is this change anywhere on the roadmap?
@Marie @Natalia any update on this 7 year old request? How do things get prioritized? I feel like it is industry standard to sort descending on everything. An email inbox is a good example of this pain point - imagine having to scroll through your entire inbox to see the most recent message and then do that many times a day.

Could we please have an update on status or progress towards implementing this change? At the very least, an explanation on why it has not been addressed to date - over 7 years since the first request.
Asana clearly has no interest in fixing this apparently as I can’t even get support to respond for this issue. My company is going to be switching everything over to HubSpot because of the lack of support and the lack of features.
I think this isn’t even rising to the top because people aren’t voting for it. If it doesn’t have enough votes, it won’t even get noticed. Not necessarily their fault. EXCEPT from a design perspective, in my opinion it is a BUG.
It has 562 votes as of today 9/13/24 and I’ve submitted tickets on it.
I have commented in this thread a few times for everyone to do the same.
Vote by scrolling to the top of the post and click the top left button that says Vote.
Also, submit a ticket for it so their customer service & tech department receives it.
If everyone would do these two things, maybe they’ll make it happen.
whoa. I am shocked that this very simple and kind of “duh” function was brought up in 2017 and has not changed in seven years. What is actually going on, Asana? Do i just need to go back to Trello for something as simple yet crucial as this?

Are you kidding me? Users have been requesting that most recent comments appear at the top since 2017, and you’ve done nothing to address this issue?

I just put in a ticket and here is the response I received.
“Currently, there are no planned changes regarding this matter in the near term. However, your feedback is valuable, and I will share it with our team. Hopefully, we can explore options to sort comments in the future.”
Why ASANA - WHY? this would be such a game changer!!!

Maybe there is hope, this is now at rank 11 of featured requests with 599 votes (almost 600).
Imho: It is plain annoying not be able to have reverse chronological order for comments. Every time I go to a task I’m definitely NOT interested in the oldest comment.
Asana, please get your act together and fix this already!!!
I am new to Asana and I am shocked that this was the default behavior (in ascending order, not descending) and hasn’t been resolved in ~ 8 years. Huh.
