Restricted access to an approval task

Hi everyone, I am just at the start of testing the approval feature of Asana. I created one parent task for an approval process and two sub tasks, one each allocated to two approvers. We have a specific project created for approvals, and I have restricted access to the project.

Issue - One of the approvers somehow found their way to the other approver’s task and left their approval as a comment.

Questions

  1. Is there a way to restrict access on a task level? I didn’t think he would be able to access a task unless he was assigned to the task.
  2. Could other people come in and undo previous approvals?

Thank you.

Hi @anon83498736, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!

This will depend on the project permissions. For example, if the project is set as Comment only, only the assignee can approve or edit the task. If the project is set as Private, only project members will be able to edit or access the task: https://asana.com/guide/help/permissions/project-permissions

If they have access to the approval task, they can reject or request changes. All the updates in the approval will be visible in the task history in the comments and collaborators will be also notified.

I hope this helps!
