Hey all,

I see quite a few posts regarding Asana access & permissions but am struggling to find guides/info I’m looking for.

Our team was hoping we would be able to limit users access to projects so they could, for example, mark a task assigned to them as complete but not edit any of the fields on the task or edit the project itself. It seems like this isn’t an option but trying to confirm if my understanding is correct & what specific options are available to limit access.

You’re correct.

The closest you can get is to assign a project member Commenter access, which means that they can comment on any tasks in the project but do nothing more with those tasks. Except if they’re the task assignee, in which case they can change the due date, custom fields, mark complete, etc. For details:
