Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
When I have an approval subtask in a parent task only users with edit permissions on the board can see it as an approval task, users with comment permissions see it as a regular task that was completed regardless of the value in the approval task.
Steps to reproduce:
create two users on a board, one with comment access, the other with edit access
create a task
create an approval subtask
user with edit access sets the approval task to “changes requested”
user with comment access will not see it reflected on their side (they will see a misleading green checkmark)
Browser version:
Asana desktop app: current release (4/12/22)
Chrome: 100.0.4896.75
Oh good catch! Not sure if this is considered a bug, but worth mentionning.
Approvals either rejected or approved are considered completed, so it does make sense technically, there is no error, but ones would like to see the actual approval decision indeed.
I understand your distinction, this may be a feature enhancement.
I couldnt understand why other board members were acting as if a task could move on in the process flow when i could see it wasnt approved. only after we screenshared on something else did I notice that they were seeing a different reality than me.
