Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: I messed around with the Rules function, but now all my recurring tasks go to “Recently Assigned” rather than “Upcoming” so I have to go to them a second time and set to “Upcoming” manually.

The recurring tasks mechanism creates new tasks, do you have a rule in place for new tasks? Also that begs the question we asked to @Rebecca_McGrath I think in another thread: in what order are rules applied? If you have a rule for new task, and one for due dates, how does that work? Does that make sense to ask those questions in your case?
This is actually not a bug per se but is the current designed behavior of the new My Tasks. However, Asana realizes it’s not the desired behavior and is planning to address it soon. See this thread for more:
