Project Roles in Templates applies to custom fields

It would be great to apply a project role to a custom field that lets you select a person. We assign specific roles so it moves properly through a process but it depends on the projec so it would be great if it can apply that to the custom fields like it can in rules and regualr assignee spots

I would like it in the custom field. See the attached picture. It would be great to add the dynamic role here in the template. When initially creating the project from the template
