Please implement a keyboard shortcut to start/stop the time tracking timer

New! Track time on your Tasks in Asana ⏱ is great news :tada:

  • Release 2 - Mid-December
    • Start / stop timer + mini-timer

When this is rolled out, I’d appreciate it if we could use a keyboard shortcut to use the timer, instead of aiming and clicking with the mouse. Thanks!

New! Track time on your Tasks in Asana ⏱ says Release 2 is planned early January, I don’t think it’s issued yet.
There’ll be an annoucement in the product launch thread when the new release comes :slight_smile:

Any update on this? The steps to track time are quite painful at the moment, because it’s not possible (if it is, please teach me!) to accept the manually entered time with a shortcut, either.

This means that there are 4(!) back-and-forth’s between mouse and keyboard each time:

  1. Switch to mouse to click “Add actual time”
  2. Switch to keyboard to type in the time
  3. Press enter
  4. Switch to mouse to click “Save”
  5. Switch to keyboard to continue work
