🏖️ Plan all your time off at once: multiple Out of Office entries are here!

Hi Asana Community,

I’m excited to announce you can now add multiple Out of Office entries to your Asana profile, all at once. Whether you’re planning a quick day off next week, a conference next month, and a two-week vacation this summer, they can all live on your profile at the same time!

Here’s what’s included:

  • Multiple OOO entries: Add as many Out of Office periods as you need. They all show up on your profile, giving collaborators and managers clear visibility into when you’re away.

  • New profile menu entry point: Finding and managing your OOO is now much easier. It’s right in the profile menu, no more hunting through settings.

  • Consistent across web and mobile: Set your time off from wherever you are. The experience works the same on both platforms.

  • API support: Developers and admins can now create and manage OOO entries programmatically, opening the door for syncing PTO data from HR systems or automating time-off management across an organization.

This has been one of the most requested features in the community for years. The Holiday/Leave/Block off time thread alone has 194 replies and 121 likes, with community members asking for exactly this kind of flexibility. This update directly addresses those core requests, and every reply, like, and vote helped make it happen. Thank you!

As always, feel free to share your thoughts and feedback in the comments. We’d love to hear how this changes the way you plan around your team’s availability!

Can you share how our admins would implement this? We use ADP for our PTO tracking and I assume they have an API we could use, but some guidance would be helpful, if you can point me in a direction that I can share with them. Thanks!

This has made my morning 100 times better, I can’t wait to share with my team on our next meeting!

Thank you for this!

Hi! Will this be visible when scheduling tasks?

This is a great addition! One tweak I would love to see is to allow us to set up recurring OOO, like where I do not work Fridays, so I could set myself as OOO every Friday.
