Filter Tasks by Out of Office (OOO) Status

One of the most rewarding pieces of feedback I’ve heard from the 75+ users of my use case is that they have a better handle on reassigning or rescheduling their responsibilities during vacations. I taught users to save advanced searches of their upcoming Out Of Office (OOO) instances to track this, and do it religiously for myself and my PMO.

The new Out Of Office (OOO) features are great, and I would love to see some features implemented to advance it:

  • Add a field to filter tasks by Out Of Office, similar to the Dependency options of Blocked or Not Blocked.
  • When displaying an advanced search of those “Out Of Office” and “Not Out Of Office” tasks, offer to group them by OOO Instance, connected by the instances listed in the user’s profile. This would look similar to grouping tasks by project.
  • Make this filter viewable by others. This would enable managers to view their team members’ tasks assigned while they’re Out Of Office.
