There is similar feature request about “incomplete tasks” at Ability to filter Portfolio rollups to show incomplete tasks, this one is about its “Overdue tasks” variant.
When looking at set of similar projects within the Portfolio, one would want to see summary in form of Rollup Formula Custom Field. The current problem is that Rollup formula is taking into consideration all tasks of the project and sometimes only subset of the tasks is of interest. There is a request to be able to segment tasks into complete/incomplete in the other request. The other segment of interest is “overdue” in addition to “incomplete”.
For instance I’d like to know what is amount of work overdue to know if I need to adjust project deadline (and communicate with stakeholders). I’d filter all tasks that are “overdue”, then I’d subtract Actual time from Estimated time and roll it up into Portfolio custom field. That would provide me valuable insight into how much team is missing the deadline, and allow me to decide if individual tasks deadlines are to be adjusted, tasks reassigned, and if project deadline has to be extended. Additionally it would be great to sort projects in Portfolio with this custom field, and thus let me see projects that require attention on a daily basis.
Besides the “Overdue tasks” filter, ability to filter by custom field value would be even better.
