Use Case: Our organization’s finance team needs to receive and process invoices, but the invoice receipt email address does not require an Asana seat/license
Current Setup: requires that the invoice email be an existing Asana user using one of our organizations’s seats.
Ideal Outcome: Option in the Admin Console for the Billing Admin to set a separate non-user email address to receive invoices and billing-related communications

Hi @Maria_King , without understanding the specifics of your workflow, you could try creating a rule with an External action to send email (via Gmail or Outlook), including attachments to any email address, which does not necessarily have an Asana account.
@Maria_King - Are you trying to change your Asana billing owner to a non-Asana user so they can receive the subscription invoices Asana issues to your organization…
Or are you trying to accomplish a workflow where invoices (unrelated to your Asana subscription) are associated with tasks in projects and those invoices get emailed or something to your finance team so they can act on them?
I don’t think I’ve ever tried to change the billing owner in the Admin Console…but I would like to change it to an email that isn’t associated with an Asana user as well.
Thanks for your reply! I had already done so, but still–for better workflow consistency I wanted to enter a separate billing contact to directly receive invoices - in case of my departure from the company and to avoid our having the forwarding then break and only realize too late. We have this setup for all our vendors and licenses where possible.
However, as the subscription renews only annually it wouldn’t cause a huge admin burden.
Sorry for my late reply! It’s the former I am interested in.
By definition we don’t want our our finance functions and our Asana admin console to be under the same account, as separate areas in our company manage those workflows. Nor do we want to waste a paid license/seat on an account, simply to receive invoices, that wouldn’t actually be using Asana. But it seems not to be possible in the current settings.
