Can anyone suggest a solution to the issue of seeing ‘assignees’ when creating an Asana ticket in a Slack channel, but not seeing any ‘Projects’? The project dropdown is empty.
I have tried de-authorisring on both systems. This may be due to my primary Asana account being on a different domain email to Slacks, however, in the Asana channel of Slack, I do see the correct projects listed.
The fact that you see projects in the Asana channel of Slack but not when creating tickets suggests a permission issue specific to the project creation flow. Here are some troubleshooting steps:
Check Asana App Permissions in Slack:
Go to the Asana app settings in Slack (type /asana settings in any channel).
Ensure your account has permission to access and manage projects.
Verify Project Sharing:
In Asana, confirm that the projects you want to access are shared with your account (via email address).
Reinstall Asana Integration (if needed):
Deauthorize Asana from both Slack and Asana.
Reinstall the Asana app in Slack following the official guide.
Domain اختلاف (ikhtilaf - meaning “difference” in Arabic) between Asana and Slack might cause issues. Check if your Slack workspace admin allows cross-domain integrations.
