In My Tasks section, I have tasks due today and tomorrow, but all tasks appear in the Recently Assigned section and none in Today nor Upcoming sections
Steps to reproduce:
Browser version: Microsoft Edge Version 87.0.664.41 (Official build) (64-bit)

Hi @Ken_Bayne1. Welcome to the forum! When a task is first assigned to you (or created by you), it will appear under the Recently assigned priority section. From there, you have the option to mark your tasks to one of the other priority sections; Today, Upcoming, or Later. This can be done by either drag-&-drop, or by hovering just to the right of the date and selecting the appropriate category. Have a read of the Asana guide article around My Tasks for more details. So there is no way to automatically have the tasks due Today to show up in the Today section? I have to manually move them?

Yes and no. Initially you will need to move the tasks out of Recently Assigned sections (manually) . But then, as a result of Auto-promotion , tasks will automatically move to the Today section at midnight on the day of the task’s due date.
@Bernie_Orelup is spot on. Recently assigned is like a bucket. Like someone placed a paper on your paper pile on your desk. You need to go through it first and decide what you want to do with it.
