New Power BI integration insufficient help article

Hi all,

I am trying to follow the instructions on this help article to test the new Power BI integration but am finding that the help article seems insufficient.

Specifically, under “How to Connect”:

  • Step 6 - am I supposed to select “Tasks” then Load?
  • Step 7 - I do not have a local Microsoft Power Bi folder (following this path understanding C:\Users\Documents\Microsoft Power BI Desktop”). However, I do have a Power Bi Desktop Store App folder (C:\Users\chand\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop Store App). I tried creating a “Custom Connectors” folder here and dropping the .mez file but upon restarting Power BI, I am still not getting the Asana V2 (beta) connector

I have already adjusted the Data Extensions security settings (Step 8 and 9).

What might I be missing? Would anyone be willing to consult with me on this directly to troubleshoot?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Hello, @Chandler_Ferguson I’m so sorry for the delay. I’m going to move your post to our English Forum > Integrations area for more visibility. If you haven’t also reached out to our support team, I would recommend reaching out to see how they can help with this matter. Asana Help Center

Alex, thanks for moving and recommending reaching out to support. After clicking “learn more about data extensions” from the security menu (File → Options → Security → Data Extensions) in Power BI, I was able to figure out that the file location needed to be in my One Drive since I am syncing files to my computer. I used Chat GPT + power shell to check to make sure I didn’t already have to correct folder and then create the folder in the correct location. Once I did that and restarted Power BI, Asana V2 showed up as a data source . Sharing in case this helps anyone in the future!
