Need Completed Date in List View and Reportable

Maybe you can create a report and then export it? Would that do the trick for you?

I would like to see the feature of being able to see a calendar view that showed tasks on the date they were actually completed, not their due date. Our team uses Asana to keep track of work queues, and we have to report when new tasks arrive and when they are completed. It would be very useful to see the tasks on the calendar by completion date, not by due date.

I just started using Asana last week for my landscape company and have been trying to find a solution to this as well. this was our first test week and I am disappointed at how difficult it is to see the completion date (fine print, off to the side and doesn’t show on the report on my screen) . I have set up a customer list since we mow the same customers each week and it occurred to me today that it is much better for my crew to move the customer from the “current customers” section to the day of the week sections i created. So going forward we will NOT check mark the customer. We’ll simply move them from the general list within the weekly Project to the Monday section or what have you. weekly%20mow%20setup

Hi everyone, I am a new User to ASANA. Was this item ever added? I cannot seem to see it. I am a Wrike user usually but have to use this for work. It seems unusual that I cannot see or sort by Completed Date… as a PM it is VERY important!

Sadly, we are not seeing this. We need more people like you to click the Vote button at the top please.

Where are you seeing completed date in fine print? Not seeing it in my Asana or your screen shot.

As far as I can tell, the fields in the Reports are are static.
All we see in the list view is:

  1. Task Name,
  2. Assignee
  3. Due Date
  4. Projects
  5. Tags
In the calendar view, we only see the task name on it’s Due Date.

Sadly, we are not seeing the Completed Date in the Reports List or the Reports Calendar. We need more people like you to click the Vote button at the top please.

Sadly, the 5 fields in reports look to be static and the calendar view only shows the task on the Due Date.

Another vote for this… seems crazy this isn’t a thing.

I don’t think they ever did it. I think the best we can do is “vote” this up. Maybe participate in a session and give feedback verbally?
Yes, it’s a product gap!

ASANA. Why is this not a thing. It seems like this would be part of an MVP. I can think of MULTIPLE use cases for why I should be able to see this directly within Asana and not just in exports into third-party reporting tools.

Right now we have a lame workaround where users are marking the completion date via a custom field before marking the task as done, but it is really stupid to have users do something Asana already is tracking but is just not surfacing…

Agreed!

Any updates on this one?

@Rohan_Anderson no news.

Asana,
As far as I can tell, this was not fixed and should be an easy fix.
Please help!

Another vote for this feature, please! It really would be incredibly useful and almost seems weird that it is not already in place.

Thanks for a great product.

Hi everyone!

I’m happy to announce we are launching the new Metadata Fields! Going forward, you will be able to add the following fields to the project list view by toggling them on from the Customize Menu:

  • Created on

  • Created by

  • Completed on :tada:

  • Last modified on

This means you can now sort, filter and view the date a task was completed in List view! If you export your project, all metadata fields will be also included.

Please note, we are gradually rolling out this feature and it’s currently available to 50% of customers. If you don’t have access yet, it will be available to you within the next couple of days.

Thanks for all the feedback you shared about this feature! If you have any questions, please reach out via our #tips category!
