Hello! Today, I just started having this issue with the My Tasks page and recurring items.
I’ve been using Asana for many years. And before today, whenever I marked a recurring task as complete on the My Task page, it would go back to my top section (I’ve called that section recently assigned) on the My Tasks. This was great b/c I have a “Today” section in My Tasks and marking it done effectively cleared it away for “Today”
Now, all of a sudden, when I mark a recurring task as complete, the new tasks that’s generated for the next recurring date stays right in the Today section instead of automatically moving out to the top of the My Tasks page.
This is totally throwing off my flows. I’m wondering if this is a bug or a new permanent change to how this is supposed to work?
Hi @CWeaver, it sounds like you need to check your settings.
Click on your profile photo and navigate to the settings. Look at the Hacks tab and see if the recurring tasks toggle is on. If it is, this forces the tasks in the last section by default. It sounds like you’d want this turned off.
Be sure to click “Reload to Apply Changes” when you’re done.
Okay, I just tried turning on that setting. It does clear them from the current subsection they were in now, but now they go to the very bottom category it looks like. They used to go to the top prior to today for as long as I can remember without this setting
